Micromanipulation is one of the most fundamental and widespread procedures in Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). To increase egg fertilisation and pregnancy rates, special micromanipulation devices are used to inject each egg independently with a sperm. The injected eggs are then placed into the laboratory incubator for In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF).
IVF involves procedures such as ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), IMSI (Intracytoplasmic Morphologically selected Sperm Injection) and Embryo Biopsy, which are done with high-magnification microscopes and other precision metrology tools in a stable environment. Vibrations from footsteps, equipment and the laboratory environment can disrupt the efficiency of each stage of the procedure from the cell injection, fertilisation process to embryo development. The tools must be operated in a vibration-isolated environment to maximise procedural success and enhance embryo quality and reliability, ultimately reducing the time and resources required for successful fertilisation.

Active Vibration Isolation Solutions
Traditionally, IVF labs have relied on passive vibration isolation methods to enhance the procedure’s success. Our active vibration isolation systems provides efficient vibration control and broadband damping in all six degrees of freedom, to ensure a much higher level of precision and stability than passive isolation tables. The active isolators function without an air supply, reducing operational complexity and long-term costs.
Tabletop platform
The DVIA-T series is one of the most advanced tabletop active isolation platforms, highly effective in isolating ambient vibrations in all six degrees of freedom achieving 90% isolation above 2 Hz, and 99.0% at 10 Hz. It is portable and lightweight and can be carried and installed anywhere. It supports payloads of upto 150 kg, and the isolation platform has an automatic levelling capability. These features make it ideal for IVF Manipulation procedures and similar bio-medical applications requiring nanoscale imaging and manipulation in highly isolated environments.
Desk platform
The DVIA-UD series is an ergonomic desk isolation platform with integrated DVIA-U active isolators which provide vibration control and high structural damping for sensitive metrology instruments and enables users to sit and perform demanding applications comfortably.

Lab workstation
The DVID-L Series of microscopy workstations and laboratory tables are extremely useful for applications such as cell injection and manipulation processes seeking passive vibration control, automatic levelling capabilities and an ergonomic working space. The workstation comes in two types with options for an open front, armrests and a large working surface for user comfort. The microscopes must be installed on the floating isolation surface separated from the working space and unaffected by the tools and components placed on it. Customisation of the size and location of the isolation platform is possible. Accessories like monitor stand, drawer unit, electrical outlet and shelves are also available.
