Open Surface Electrospinning devices with state-of-the-art production capabilities are in demand in laboratories worldwide. However, only a limited number of enterprises can meet these needs. The dearth of standard instruments for nanofibre synthesis was the biggest motivation behind the establishment of INOVENSO (Innovative Engineering Solutions). Currently, INOVENSO Co. is the leading manufacturer of nanofibre production equipment with its Open Surface Technology.
Inovenso brand machines have been chosen by the University of Sydney, University of Queensland, UNSW, Deakin University, RMIT University, Swinburne University, Flinders University, Macquarie University, University of Newcastle, University of Wollongong, University of South Australia, University of Adelaide, University of Southern Queensland, and CSIRO amongst 600+ organisations globally.
Currently, we offer Stream Spinner devices for industrial-scale nanofibre production capacity in Australia and New Zealand. Contact us to discuss your electrospinning needs.
Open Surface Technology for electrospinning
INOVENSO’s Open Surface Technology is designed to enable superior control of process parameters at high production capacities, making it ideal for industrial-scale processes. The StreamSpinner series of devices are high-throughput, open-surface electrospinning and electrospraying machines, designed for commercial nanofibre production to meet the demand for large volumes of nanofibre meshes from a range of solvent materials in applications such as air filtration, biomedical and pharmaceutical products, cosmetics, etc.

They have the following features in common:
- Bottom-up horizontal processing with innovative design of spinnerets achieving maximum throughput of nanofibre products with consistent, desirable morphologies and homogeneous distributions.
- Three independently controlled spinnerets, each with dedicated peristaltic pumps, allow for multi-solution feeding and the fabrication of composite structures. The Smart Dynamic Feeding System ensures precise, homogeneous fibre deposition by regulating flow rate, spinneret speed, and timing.
- The SS series is compatible with a broad range of polymer viscosities. An integrated Smart Winding System automatically adjusts flow and winding speed to achieve target membrane thickness.
- The machines also come with a 12” touchscreen interface offering precise control of process parameters during continuous production, as well as the ability to save recipes and maintain process logs.
- Built with safety in mind, the production is carried out in a closed glass chamber with environmental control (temperature and humidity), emergency stop features, a grounded cabinet, HV warnings, and over-current protection.

StreamSpinner 550
The StreamSpinner 550 is designed for advanced R&D processes enabling seamless scale-up from the product development stage to pilot production, achieving manufacturing rates 5 to 15 times higher than conventional systems. It can process hundreds of linear meters of nanofibre media at the rate of up to 12 meters/min (e.g., PA6 at 0.03 GSM).

StreamSpinner 1000
The StreamSpinner1000 is suitable for the commercial manufacturing of nanofibres and nanofibre-based products on a 1000mm width roll-to-roll collector. It can achieve automated production rates of up to 16 meters/min. (PA6 0.03GSM) – about 5 to 15 times higher throughput than conventional electrospinning systems without requiring an operator to oversee the process and detect anomalies.

StreamSpinner 1600
The StreamSpinner1600 is designed for the commercial manufacturing of nanofibres. With a production capacity of about 60% higher than SS1000, it is the largest machine in the series. It can manufacture nanofibre-based products on a 1600 mm width roll-to-roll collector at a production rate of up to 36 meters/min. (PA6 0.1 GSM).
