Nozzle-based Electrospinning devices with state-of-the-art production capabilities are in demand in laboratories worldwide. However, only a limited number of enterprises can meet these needs. The dearth of standard instruments for nanofibre synthesis was the biggest motivation behind the establishment of INOVENSO (Innovative Engineering Solutions).
INOVENSO started with the production of single and multi-needle electrospinning devices that were bought by a considerable number of research laboratories and industry in a very short time. Currently, INOVENSO Co. is the leading manufacturer of nanofibre production equipment with its patented Hybrid Nozzle Technology.
As chosen by the University of Sydney, University of Queensland, UNSW, Deakin University, RMIT University, Swinburne University, Flinders University, Macquarie University, University of Newcastle, University of Wollongong, University of South Australia, University of Adelaide, University of Southern Queensland, and CSIRO amongst 600+ organisations globally.
Currently, we offer needle-based, nozzle-based, nozzle-less, hybrid, single-nozzle, and multi-nozzle electrospinning devices in three main categories as lab-scale, pilot-line, and industrial-scale nanofibre production electrospinning equipment in Australia and New Zealand. Pilot and Industrial Scale Electrospinning Systems

PE 300
- The PE-300 is Inovenso’s pilotline device designed for precise product development processes and semi-industrial scale production of nanofibres in industrial settings and university and R&D centres. This model is ideal for research applications requiring electrospinning over long time intervals for in-situ parameter optimisation and product development, finding use in commercial applications such as facemasks, air and liquid filters, battery separators, wound dressing materials, etc.
- The PE-300 enables mass production of nanofibres with up to 18 nozzles and multiple jet streams from each nozzle, as well as single-nozzle production for small-scale projects. Nozzles with a wide range of diameters can be used simultaneously.
- It contains 2 syringe pumps and 2 high-voltage power suppliers, enabling independently controlled simultaneous runs with up to 2 different polymers and distinct feeding rates.
- A 9-inch programmable touch screen panel is used for seamless automated operation and precise process control of all important parameters during continuous operation.
- It also comes with both a rotating drum collector and a stationary plate collector with a continuous roll-to-roll substrate winding collector system, and a Modifiable horizontal movement for uniform and homogeneous coating.
- It is equipped with extra safety features such as spark protection, a safety door option, and integrated safety relays.

PE 550
- The PE-550 is an advanced pilotline machine specifically designed for scalability, as it’s suitable for both large-scale production as well as small-scale R&D projects.
- It has all the features of the PE-330, but comes with 56 nozzles and 4 syringe pumps, and control modules for a larger volume of production.

Nanospinner 416
- The NanoSpinner NS 416 is Inovenso’s industrial electrospinning model. Depending on the customised nanofibre coating (g/m2), the output of NS 416 can range between 180-5000 m2 of nanofibre membrane coating per day, and the production capacity can be approximately 5000 g of nanofibres per day.
- The NS 416 is equipped with 204 electrospinning nozzles and a homogenisation system, allowing the surface to be uniformly and continuously coated at a width of 1 m with nanofibres of diameters 50-400 nm. It also allows single-nozzle operation and usage of nozzles with different diameters.
- The 9” programmable touch screen display facilitates an advanced automation system and precise continuous control of process parameters even during operation. Along with this, air conditioning equipment also enables production at the determined quality even under changing environmental conditions.

Additional modules for customisation
- Different diameter needles: Needle diameters directly affect the diameters of nanofibres. Available in the range 0.6-1.5 mm.
- Coaxial needles: Can be used to create nanofibres with core-shell structures of different materials.
- Gas shield nozzle systems: Specially designed nozzle modules that effectively delay solvent evaporation for production involving certain materials.
- Rotating shaft collector: Acts as a substrate that allows the formation of thin tubular structures, such as arterial/veinous structures in biomedical applications.
- Vacuum holder plate collector: The vacuum generated by a plate holder houses a substrate of choice for the collector via a suction mechanism.
- Climate control: Controls temperature and humidity, which affect solvent evaporation and nanofibre morphology.
- Camera integration: Real-time visual capture was used to observe the Taylor cone formation process on the polymer solution surface, polymer jets, and their stability and behaviour throughout the procedure.
- Carbon filter: Used to capture volatile organic compounds from solvents and ensure that clean air is circulated back to the environment.
